  1. Go to gmail.com and create a @gmail.com address. Don't forget your password.
  2. Go to https://analytics.google.com and sign in (you'll probably already be signed in with your Google account).
  3. Click on 'Get started with Google Analytics' then click 'Sign up.'
  4. Fill in the fields Account Name, Website Name, Website URL, and select an Industry Category and a Reporting Time Zone.
  5. Under Data Sharing Settings, check the boxes next to the options you want.
  6. Click on 'Get a Tracking ID.'
  7. In the Google Analytics Terms of Service window, click I accept.

The plugin

  1. Go to the plugins menu of your WordPress and add the Google Analytics Dashboard for WP (GADWP) plugin
  2. At the end of the installation click the link that will connect you to your Google Analytics account. If you have multiple Properties (sites) in Google, you will be connected.

Note

There you go, your site and Google Analytics are connected. All that remains is to go to your WordPress dashboard and admire the traffic graphs that appear.
