Instructions

  1. Of course, as usual, back up and check your performance on GTmetrix.com
  2. Search for tarteaucitron.js in WordPress's plugin installer, install, activate.
  3. Go to Settings > Tarteaucitron.js and click the Sign Up link.
  4. You'll land on the online service page. Enter an email and password. Once logged in, click "Add a site and install services to get started."
  5. If you have multiple sites you can add as many as you want for the same price.
  6. On the new line that appears click "Theme" and choose where you want the notification bar to appear on your page. I personally set the position to "bottom" and unchecked the "small banner" in the bottom right on all my sites except alaseoupe.com

Note

There you go — your site’s scripts are now GDPR compliant. With or without meringue, meaning free or paid, this plugin is absolutely essential. All that’s left is to check your contact form and you can stop having nightmares! I’ll explain it to you very quickly.
