Recipe No. 5: Clean your workspace
How to install a WordPress without the default posts and plugins? It’s not possible. But before going further we’ll clean the default installation so you start from a clean base. It’s time to explore your WordPress dashboard. We will install and use a very handy plugin: Advanced Reset WP https://fr.wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-reset-wp/
Warning, If your site already has content, do not use this recipe.
Clean your workspace

- Go to your WordPress dashboard and install the Advanced Reset WP plugin, which you can find here https://fr.wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-reset-wp/ or by searching in WordPress’s internal search.
- Activate the plugin and go to Tools/Advanced Reset WP
- check the boxes
Post cleaning
Delete themes
Delete plugins
Clear "uploads" folder
You can also check Deep Cleaning, which will delete all users - Type the word 'reset' into the field, then click 'start cleaning'.
- Once you've done this, I recommend disabling the plugin, or even uninstalling it to avoid future errors.
There — your WordPress is all clean. The next step will be to set up a backup to save time in case of a problem. See recipe no. 6
